AccessBank Tanzania conducted a business forum for its women SME, Micro, Agro and Deposit clients and non-clients over the past weekend. The forum took place within the city center of Dar es Salaam on Saturday the 30th of March at Kisenga International Conference Center, with the theme and objective of the forum being; “Women in Business and their Savings Culture”.
The predominant objective of the forum was to equip AccessBank’s Dar es Salaam businesswomen with the right understanding and know-how on growing their business operations while also promoting a good savings culture.
Speaking at the forum, the Chief Business Officer – Mr. Prosper William noted that, “This is a first business forum for women held in Dar es Salaam, among many other women’s business forums to be conducted by the bank in other regions for 2019. We plan to promote a sound savings culture as women are the bread and basket of the house and the informal economy. For those ambitious women that are willing to take risks and stand-out among the crowd, we will coach you on business ethics and practice as well as educate you and assist you to save aggressively for your future. We have speed up our loan processing time and reduced the risk or liability of our loans by offering Credit Life Insurance. We have created an account specifically tailored for women dubbed LULU. We are planning on conducting more women’s business forums for this year. Therefore, Lake Zone (Mwanza, Kahama and Tabora) and Southern Zone (Mbeya and Iringa) clients get ready for the up-coming women’s business forums”.
The forum was organized in partnership with the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Mrs. Jennifer Bash was invited to be the mainbusiness trainer for the forum. During her session she confirmed that “AccessBank is your business partner that wants to see you grow, the importance of how to use the bank as a tool to grow, be it through loans for women or saving aggressively to achieve your personal goals, these trainings provide a platform to promote good leadership and team work within your business as well as your personal lives. We thank AccessBank for creating such opportunities.” Closing off the women’s business forum was a Q and A session with the management of the Bank, and the invited clients shared their appreciation and gratitude by thanking AccessBank for this opportunity and also praised AccessBank’s efforts for bringing them together and enhancing their partnership.
