AccessBank Tanzania conducted another business forum and a first for 2018 for its SME, Micro, Agro and Deposit clients over the past weekend. The forum took take place within the city center of Dar es Salaam on Saturday morning at Peacock Hotel, with the theme and objective of the forum being; “Doing Bigger Business Together”.
The predominant objective of the forum was to equip AccessBank’s Dar es Salaam SME, Micro and Deposit clients with the right understanding and know-how on growing their business operations in the long-run.
Speaking at the forum, the Chief Credit Officer and Deputy CEO – Mrs. Sarah Zetterli noted that, “This is the second forum held in Dar es Salaam among many business forums to be conducted by the bank. We plan on engaging our customers to do bigger business together. By doing bigger business together we will increase our loan capacity to our client’s beyond TZS 1 billion, for those ambitious clients that are willing to take risks and stand-out among the crowd. We will coach you on business ethics and practice as well as educate you on how to grow bigger. We will speed up our loan processing time and to reduce the risk or liability of the loan we are now offering Credit Life Insurance. This is the beginning and we are planning on conducting these business forums more often. Moreover, for our Lake Zone (Mwanza, Kahama and Tabora) and Southern Zone (Mbeya and Iringa) clients get ready to do bigger business together, and soon.
The forum was in partnership with the European Investment Bank (EIB). Mr. Erick Crispin an expert on Business and Economics and guest speaker said, “AccessBank is your business partner that wants to see you grow, there are some of you here (clients) who started with TZS 1 million loan 10 years back when AccessBank first started operations and now your accessing upto TZS 1 billion, that means your business has grown.” Furthermore Mr. Erick Crispin explained the importance of how to use the bank as a tool to grow as well as the importance of good leadership and team work in a business as important elements of growing and operating bigger businesses.
Closing off the “Doing Bigger Business Together” forum was a Q and A session, and humbled by the forum Mr. Athuman Ayoub (an AccessBank customer) said, “We thank AccessBank for being among the institutions that do care about their customers, you all thought about us and took the time and effort to bring us together and enhance our partnership. We also had an opportunity to contribute our views, indeed it has been fruitful and we look forward to the coming forums.”
